Oh Hai!

So having been without internet for the last night or so, it has made me wonder, what on earth did we do before technology. As in the technology we have today, in 2010. I know I struggle to remember how I contacted friends, got research done and just wasted time! And I know many people have covered this topic before me, but I thought it would be interesting to delve into it. And possibly try to remember how I DID manage...
For me it all started when I was about 15. That was when I got my first mobile phone. And oh my! What an amazing thing it was! All brick-like, and only txting in capitals. It was an Alcatel I think. And was as big as my wallet.

Then of course from there technology grew, and so did my hunger for the latest in fancy mobile phones. Like today, I now have a phone that can video call, pxt, txt, call and pretty much do everything else I need it to. Except make me a decent cup of coffee... I hope they come up with that soon before my fingers get too arthritic and I have no need for a phone... man, I'd love to have a phone that could fit in my pocket AND make me coffee when I want it!
As for the internet, it is only recently that I have become quite attached to it. I discovered online shopping (yes, I'm a late e-bloomer), internet banking, blogging and more! Now I am on it every night exploring the wonders. But now that I am without it just now I feel like im missing a limb... and am so desperate that I am currently writing the draft for this blog in notepad... so old school!
My good friend Alex will agree that I am a n00b when it comes to teh interwebs. I often have to ask him for help with the simplest of tasks. One of them being "Alex, how do i make teh interwebs put my pictures on teh blog?" To which he replied something along the lines of  "Well there's a picture. Click it. There you go." Ah Alex, what would I do without you to guide me through this crazy internet? :)
Now you may think I'm making this up for lols, but nope. I really am this stupid. I win at life! :D

It is currently 10.42pm and I had the grand idea of staying up late to write and play Plants vs Zombies. I even had an energy drink before, and I never have them! But alas, the Technology God hates me and wants me to be more productive. Up yours techno-god, this is productive! Mwahahahahahaha

Here's a worrying insight to the lack of insulation in my house... I'm listening to Alestorm at a more than reasonable volume and I can still hear the upstairs neighbours walking around and talking. Hmmm...
I was awoken at 1.30am this morning by an almighty BANG from them upstairs. I think they jumped off the couch (our bedroom is directly beneath their lounge), fuck knows why you'd jump off a couch at 1.30am. But anyway. I digress. Suffice to say, I almost had a bloody heart attack. And it could well have been bloody had my heart exploded. Gross. Lol. What a mess to clean up! :P

Right, so update on internet. Managed to get in there and get a blog posted! Yussss. Me 1, internet 0.

So today I got the next part of my tattoo done. If you can call it a part. I sat for all of about half an hour 'cos I really wasn't in the mood for pain. Epic fail. My lovely tattooist just laughed at me! But I have decided that I want to get some pansies on my arm. Mainly as a tribute to my Gran, and because they look real funny :D
We were looking at them on the net, and I swear they have faces! Some epically funny ones were: Porn Pansy, he had aviators and a pimpin mo'. Sucked on a lemon Pansy, for obvious reasons. Angry pansy. KGB pansy etc. I'm thinking Porn Pansy is pretty awesome!

In other news, my partner tried to teach me to drive today! In a manual... Recipe for disaster... BUT, I must say I didn't do too badly. Nobody was maimed or killed and the car, plus gearbox is still intact! :D Although after about 10 minutes of the "lesson" he said "Ok pull over, I'm driving. We're going home!" Did I do bad? :-/ lol.
