Hello again viewers and thank you for stopping by for the next episode!
I trust you all had a lovely weekend doing whatever it is you were doing. I myself was rather boring, I did a shit load of housework and went and looked at a scooter.
But more on that later...
So when I speak of good things, I am talking about people very close to me getting into employment! My lovely Partner (who is sniffing the speakers as I write this) getting a new job today. I had the pleasure of receiving this good news while at work and getting all mucky while rolling a kitchen ceiling!
And also of my very good friend who has had a lot of interviews today! Go you, my friend! Who, I will add, is as far as I'm aware, not sniffing speakers...
Also I have learned through the wonders of Facebook that another of my friends has just had a wee baby boy. Nawwww, so cute! I wish her all the best :)
As for the scooter...
So I went all the way out to the Hutt on Sunday evening, right? To view this scooter that apparantly kick-starts. So we get there, right? And guess what? Doesn't kick-start at all... Hmmm... So I try to haggle with the guy to get him to drop the price, COS IT DOESN'T START, and NO, he won't. Bit stink I'm thinking...
Then he says "It also has a helmet but I'm not throwing it in, you'd have to buy it".
Well mate, what are the chances I'm going to buy a scooter that won't even kick-start, and THEN give you more money for a helmet that would really be as redundant as the scooter itself...
Talk about frustrated!
But never mind. I'm over it...kind of...
So I've been trying to keep up to date with the Christchurch earthquake situation. I must say that they seem to be handling the whole thing very well. I'm not sure how I would cope if such a tragedy were to hit Wellington. I have a lot of respect for the people of Christchurch.
It has made me very aware of how unprepared my household is if this were to happen to Wellington. So I have made a point of starting an emergency kit! I am quite pleased with myself actually, I am quite the procrastinator so having started this is a great thing for me! :-)
It also makes me wonder whether all of you lovely people out there are prepared too...?
Food for thought, I'm thinking.
Okay so I finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Was excellent right to the end! I have now started reading 'Fanny Hill, Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure' by John Cleland. I'm only a few pages in, but already it is quite the read! Who knew that a book that was written in 1749 could be so raunchy! Apparantly the author was summoned to answer to charges of indecency after it was published (LOL). I mean, from a 1749 point of view I could understand this, considering a few pages into the book it goes into details of girl-on-girl action... Thus far Fanny Hill has lost all innocence, as you can well imagine!
Will keep you posted... :-P
(If anyone has any tips on consistency of writing, please feel free to let me know. I have a habit of just typing whatever comes into my head at the time.)
Well I think I have prattled on enough for this episode, but never fear, I shall be back!
KnoT
