Hello hello there,
So today we got the grand idea of getting a pet. A pet rat! He is so gorgeous it's silly. But, he has been lumbered with the unfortunate name Buga. Pronounced Bugger. Just to be clear, not my choice! I'm just glad he won't recognize that he is called Buga and get a complex about it or something.
It has been one hell of a mission packed day today! Built an epic rat enclosure (complete with a massive plastic window and two floors), shopping trip to get all of the bits and pieces to keep little Buga occupied and warm, and then actually buying him! He is very spoiled, he has a running wheel, an igloo to sleep in, plenty of food and water and also a little ball to run around the house in! It's like a Zorb, but rat sized. EPIC. Can't wait to get him in it!
Got to play with my cute little nephew in law aswell. 10 months old and so cute!
Update on Mr.Buga, We got him in the Zorb! Yussss! Didn't really know what he was meant to do... but got him in none the less! We've kind of gone nuts on the whole thing I think. We have made him a little bridge to play on, he has a dinosaur to chew on, ping pong balls to play with and camo netting to climb on! Plus fake flowers strung around his cage. Just for a bit of colour... :-P
So tomorrow morning will be interesting. Blood tests! W00t! NOT. I usually end up nearly passing out so I am not looking forward to this... AND it's a fasting one so I can't have breakfast! :-(
Plus on top of that it looks like I'm going to have to have knee surgery at some stage. I finally found a doctor who is willing to refer me to an Orthopedic surgeon to get this shit sorted! I have been in pain for the last seven years and no doctor has even thought about doing anything remotely helpful. My doctor For The Win! Will be nice to be able to sit cross legged again AND be able to walk when I get up!

Summer is here!
Hey guys,
It would seem that Summer has started already, going by the epic sunburn I got yesterday... Very painful and very hideous! I look like I have a wife beater singlet stuck on me :-( It could be worse though, I could be unable to move.
So delving into the Paul Henry issue this week. I am mighty annoyed that he has been suspended for speaking his mind. Sure, I admit that there is a line and yes, he MAY have ALMOST crossed it, but I still don't think we should be punishing people for saying what they think. This country is too damn politically correct! It's like they're trying to wrap us in cotton wool and save our poor little selves from truth. I mean, honestly, Paul Henry just says what everyone else is really thinking but is too afraid to say. I am boycotting Breakfast until he is back on air because it is just too boring without him!
Oh, and fuck you Green's, he will never be sacked! No matter how much you whinge and moan the people still love him. And, even if you don't love him, I bet you still admire him for saying what he means but just don't want to admit it!
BRING BACK PAUL HENRY!
Anyway... who would like to sell a new knee to me? Must be in better working order than mine, fairly new. Will pay fair price.
Who wants to hear about a book I'm reading? No? Well fuck ya, you're gonna hear about it anyway! :-P
Little Vampire Women! Piss take of Little Women. Bloody (literally) awesome so far! Haven't actually read the original yet, so can't comment too much... But, it is very entertaining and I do recommend it. Not lame like Twilight and all those others, I promise!
Will comment further when I have read more.
I have way too many books piled up waiting to be read right now. I can't stop buying them! Although, in my defense I could NOT leave George Orwell's Keep the Aspidistra Flying (hope I spelled that right) on the shelf. It was begging to be bought because the book fairies know that I love Orwell and they were pressuring me I tell you! Pressuring me to buy it! So I bought it. There. I'm weak. I caved to the fairies and their heckling.
I think I'll leave it there for today. I'm really quite tired!
Back soon! :-D

Oh weekend, how I love thee.
Hey guys,
And so another weekend winds down...
Was a pretty epic weekend though, in the sense that it seemed very long! Which is awesome! Usually my weekends are filled with housework and grocery shopping, but not this weekend thank God!
It all started on Friday night when my partner and I took the train to my parents house, straight after work. Had a good time up there chilling out with the horses, seeing my little sister and generally relaxing. Nice!
BIG day today though (Sunday), got up insanely early to get the bloody train home to put in a toilet at the in-laws. Thankfully that didn't take too long and we were able to go and have a really nice lunch in town, sitting in the sun. It was one of those blissful days where there's no wind, the sun is shining and you're in the company of an awesome person :-) Ahhhh... I hope next weekend is the same!
And of course we spent the most part of the afternoon blatting around town on the scooter hehe :-D Big LOL here, we thought we needed to fill up so went to the gas station and only needed $5 worth! LOL!
So anyways... Bought a fair few magazines over the weekend too. One of them being Marie Claire. I am so glad these guys make this magazine because it is actually relevant to a woman of my age! Interesting articles, amazing shoes (that I could NEVER afford but still drool over), and really good hints and tips for everyday life as a woman.
I'm sure I have other things to write about but I'm so bloody tired I can't think right now...
Be back later lovely readers!

Yup, another post. Lol
Hey guys,
So I'm posting again today! Lucky you! Never short of reading material. Lol.
The reason for my second post of the day is this: I have been thinking, again. I also did a little research on the internet, purely out of curiosity... I promise...
There's some very interesting information on the net, I have found. One being a Google search dedicated to the topic of "How to get your boyfriend to propose". I read into this a bit and it involves a lot of crazy steps to get this to happen! One article said to pretty much ignore your partner, not see him, talk to him only if you have to and then one of the last steps being to act like a slave! Okay it didn't say "be a slave" specifically. But that was pretty much implied. It detailed things like do everything for him, eat whatever he is eating no matter what diet you are on, always do what he wants to do, etc.
All of this was in the same article and it made me think, if I did this to my partner he would think I was some kind of schizo girlfriend! And from my point of view it would make him run away, not propose!
I really hope there aren't women out there following these steps!
I mean, from my experience, isn't it better to be yourself? And if he doesn't propose then, well, he's either not worth it or he's secretly waiting for you to ask him!
And yes, I know that I talked in a previous post about wanting my partner to propose to me. And I still do! But, since life is too short isn't it best to be happy with what you have instead of concentrating on things that may never happen? If it does happen that's great! If not, well then you still have the amazing, loving and caring partner that you fell in love with.
Lol, I can hear my friend Alex from here saying "See I told you! Crazy lady!" Haha :-P
As for my dream of the rain easing off today... DIDN'T HAPPEN! Got fully damp and icky picking up my partner from work.
In other ponderings... How does one know what one is meant to do with one's life? I am having this issue at the moment. I'm working as a painter and decorator just now but I don't see it as something I want to be doing till I retire. My mum thinks I should be a journalist, but you have to rather nosy and pushy for that, I don't think I can do that. I also thought about a career in the arts, but art schools in Wellington suck. I could be a housewife, but I can't see myself getting much done around the house with t.v and internet to distract me.
Any suggestions people? I'm at a loss and getting old :-(
I don't know who watched Breakfast this morning but it was the most hilarious episode yet! A viewer sent in a letter with a catalogue detailing something called the Toilet Wand, I think it was. Anyway, what you do with it is put the toilet paper on the end and wipe your ass with it! LOL. And then, you push a button when you're done and the poopy paper falls in the loo and you just flush! Easier wiping for those that are lazy. Or have issues with toilet paper maybe?
But, I do see how this could be very helpful for the handicapped and infirm. At least when we get old we won't have to get our children to wipe for us. Maybe I should get a couple of these wands and save them for when I'm 80... Hmmm...
Anyway! The Cleveland Show is on so catch you guys later! :D
PS: Google the Toilet Wand and let me know what you think!

It's raining, it's pouring...
Morning guys,
Well, no work again today because it's pissing down! Stink buzz. So I am resigned to sitting at home watching t.v and contemplating going for a ride on the scooter. Yes, in the rain. I will get very, very wet but it is so much fun! :-D I'm thinking I need to invest in wet weather gear...
So I was reading yesterday that in 2012 they will be changing the right hand rule to the left hand rule. In one way that's a good idea since we are the only country in the world that has it. But in another way it's kind of a bad idea. People are going to forget cos the right hand rule is so ingrained in kiwi drivers, and will probably result in more accidents. I know I will get confused!
I hate rainy days! They're so boring!
Who out there is going to the Big Day Out? I contemplated it but I can't justify paying a shit load just to see Rammstein... Even though they are awesome!
I'm going to have to venture out in the rain soon... But I think I will bide my time until the rain eases a bit... Do you think that will happen? Please say yes...

I'm alive!
Hey guys,
Quick update to let you all know that I did not get annihilated on the roads this morning! W00t! Made it all the way to Tawa to find that work was off because of the weather. Damn. So had to scoot all the way back in the rain! Never mind, 'twas good fun!
So now I'm at home and watching lame tv. I was hoping for the Jeremy Kyle show but no, it's school holidays apparently and theres some crappy kids movie. LAME!
I am now officially bored and staring out the window at the rain.
But on the plus side... Fishpond FINALLY delivered a book that I ordered TWO MONTHS AGO! Bloody hell Fishpond... Slow much??
Alright I'm off now to pamper myself with a manicure :P
Laters! :D

Oh Lordy...
Hey lovely people,
Hope your week is shaping up rather nicely. Mine has been... Frightening. All because I am learning to ride this infernal scooter! Went for a ride on my own this morning, all went well to the in-laws. But, on leaving I had issues getting out of the driveway. 'Tis very steep and there's a huge bump at the top! Almost veered into the oncoming lane and got taken out by a car. Fucking hell. All I can say is, to the guy I nearly t-boned, THANK GOD YOUR REFLEXES ARE AWESOME! I feel so bad for everyone on the road around me! And to make matters more scary, I have to drive across town to get to work tomorrow morning!
If you happen to be driving to Tawa tomorrow and see a scooter with shit trailing behind it, that's me. Please be gentle with me!
I really hope I get better at this whole driving thing pretty quickly. Steering I'm fine with, it's just the whole roundabout thingy really...
Apart from said incident, it has been pretty fun so far! My partner is loving it too!
Ugh. So onto other things that aren't vehicle related... I hear that Tool and Rammstein will be headlining the Big Day Out next year. That will be epic! Not a Tool fan, but do love Rammstein!
I've been pondering. Musing, if you will. About what, you ask? Well, weird people. Crazy people. And just plain odd people.
What is it that happens in a persons life that makes them turn weird? Is it upbringing or environmental factors? Or possibly a mixture of both? In my life I have known more than my share of crazy/weird/odd people and it's just not fun. It's fine up until the point where you actually realize that they are strange. And not in a "Wow, that's interesting" way, more like a "Wow, you should be institutionalized" way.
You've got a few different types of weird, in my opinion.
The first would be: The ones that enjoy pain. Pain as in tattoos and piercings. This weird I can relate to 'cos I am this kind of weird. Bring on those weirdos!
The second: The people you meet once through other people and they want to be your best friend all while knowing fuck all about you. Not so keen on this weird.
The third: The ones that once you are friendly with them, copy every single fucking thing that you do. Sure, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but don't you have to draw a line somewhere? Hate this weird.
Imitation pisses the hell out of me! What happened to originality?!
The fourth: And these are the ones to stay the hell away from... Attention seeking crazy people that are incredibly needy. You know the kind I'm talking about! The ones that you can quite openly tell to fuck off but they still come back for more. This weird I don't understand, I would really like to do a psychology paper just to TRY to understand! It's like when you tell a puppy to fuck off (not that you would) and it just looks at you and doesn't move. Or jumps on your lap. It baffles me. It really does. I think I could understand the workings of the universe better than these oddballs.
Now obviously my list goes from interesting weird down to institutionalized weird.
I can hear what you're thinking... "Why the fuck is she ranting about crazy people?!" Well, in answer to that... I'm not quite sure.
I think I'm going to love you and leave you there, it's very late and I have to go back to work tomorrow :(
But, as always, if you have any comments or feedback on whatever I'm rambling about I'd love to hear them!
Catch you beautiful people later! :D
P.S: Fingers crossed for Alex!
